I'm a more is more kind of girl. Meaning I can definitely appreciate simple, un-cluttered design, but for the most part I thrive when I'm surrounded by color, texture, patterns, and lots of layers. I partnered up with afloral.com to create this lovely head table decor, along with some of my favorite local Kansas City wedding vendors. And for this post I'm not just sharing the finishing shots, but also some behind the scenes images of how the table came together.

The decor for this table started with this killer ceremony arch, which I'll be sharing the step by step on how to DIY this week too. I just love the modern clean lines, and I added a mix of coral, blush, and peach blooms, and a mix of greens and airplanes. We used a round wooden table from Ultrapom Event Rental and dressed it with a black sequin linen, and striped runner from afloral.com.
The next layer for our modern spring head table decor was of course the flowers (my favorite part). I chose a mix of soft pastel, and ivory blooms, and then added in some bright pops of coral and orange. I wanted to use a mix of flowers that were modern and fresh, like proteas, ginger, airplanes, and succulents, along with more romantic, traditional blooms.
afloral.com has a great selection of silk flowers to choose from. I've always worked with fresh in the past, but it was so fun to play around with blooms without having to worry about them dying before the shoot or getting enough water!
Next comes the glassware, chargers, plates, and flatware. Ultrapom is one of my favorite vendors to rent beautiful vintage, and un-expected pieces from for weddings and other events. The gold chargers, blush drinking glasses, and gold flatware are all from Ultrapom.
And last, but definitely not least are the details. For me the details of a table setting are a lot like spices when you're cooking. They're small, but some of the most important ingredients that really finish things off. For this table set up the details included a few well placed succulents, adorable Yay! champagne flutes from Easy Tiger, and beautiful paper pieces by Little Yellow Leaf. Megan of LYL totally nailed the design of these pieces.
I told Megan my vision of the shoot, and left it to her to create. I love the mix of modern pattern and shapes, and fun florals. Plus that custom lined envelope? So perfect!
Add a couple of ghost chairs from Ultrapom, and a coordinating bouquet, and the table is complete.
I had such a fun time creating this modern spring head table decor inspiration shoot with Afloral, and my other amazing vendors: Jana Marie Photography, Ultrapom Event Rental, and Little Yellow Leaf. Be sure to hop on over to afloral.com and check out all of their beautiful products. They don't just sell silk flowers, but also the table runners, gold tassels, and gold containers used in this shoot are all from their online shop. Plus there's so many more decor pieces to choose from for a party, wedding, or just for your home. Come back on Wednesday, because I'll be sharing the DIY on how I made the ceremony arch, including a step by step video!
