I've said it before, but I'll say it again, sometimes we just get really lucky with the bounty of gorgeousness that mother nature provides. Sure a floral designer has a hand in arranging the blooms, but if they aren't amazing then we can only do so much. Ellie and Jeff's wedding was so full of color and fun, but she wanted to keep her bridal bouquet classic and white. With huge garden roses, dahlias, and lovely clematis we were able to make her dream a reality.
The bridesmaids bouquets were all made up of a similar color palette of flowers, but as per Ellie's request we made each one just a little bit different (just like her maids dresses). Huge Cafe Au Lait dahlias, peach garden roses, astilbe, succulents, and soft dusty miller were just a few of the blooms that made these bouquets so yummy to look at.
For an added touch of texture I used a bit of blushing bride protea in Ellie's bouquet. I also loved that instead of a vintage brooch, or necklace, she had us use a bangle that belonged to her grandmother to add to her bouquet. The turquoise was a nice tie in with the reception colors.
The Tuscan style head table we created for the reception still remains one of my favorites to date. Grey and white striped full length linens coverd them, and we created a runner overflowing with greens, and vases filled with colorful pink, orange, and blush blooms. Candles in mercury glass containers were sprinkled throughout for a touch of metallic.
We had three different types of centerpieces which combined all the fun elements of the wedding including turquoise, vintage milk glass, and mixed metals in silvers and golds. The bright colors really brought the space to life, and I loved the table numbers Ellie created by spray painting letters of the alphabet gold.
Last would be the gorgeous cake. I loved the elements that the bride put together to decorate her cake table, especially the mint green cake stand. Bright blooms added just the right touch of color.
