Much like everyone else in the midwest, I love fall. It's those few months of the year that we get a break from the blazing heat of summer, and bitter cold of winter. So obviously I absolutely had to plan a fall/halloween themed floral workshop. And what says fall more than making floral arrangements in pumpkins? Nothing that I can think of!
River Market Event Place provided us with their gorgeous space and some delicious fall libations, including a Fall Sangria and some Boulevard Funky Pumpkin Ale. Can you say yum?
As always Moxie Catering provided some delicious appetizers, and I just loved the Halloween themed decor that Jill added. It really set the mood for the event.
And of course what would a floral design workshop be without beautiful flowers? I went head on with the fall theme using sunflowers, mums, safflower, and mixing in some unexpected fall textures like leacadendron. Morgan Miller Photography captured everything for us, and I love the way she edited these images. They definitely feel like fall to me.
I know I've probably said it before, but one of the things I absolutely LOVE about doing floral workshops is that we all work with the same flowers, but every single person creates their very own unique creation. It's so cool to see peoples creativity come to life.
I was also so happy to have two of my very best friends come to this workshop. Thank you Claudia and Angela for your support, and I hope you had the best time!
As always thanks to my amazing vendor team for playing along with me, and making this little endeavor of mine come to life in such an amazing way. Right now I've got a handful of spots left in our upcoming Floral Crown 101 workshop on November 12th. Also stay tuned for a holiday workshop (we'll be making wreaths, yay!). More details coming soon!
