I've been having such a great time coming up with fun floral DIY's to share, and much like the framed flowers I shared recently, this one is crazy easy, but makes a beautiful statement for an event. I used the blooms from September's collaboration with Nickel and Suede, rich fall colors and lots of texture, so gorgeous.
Here's what you'll need:
- Flowers of course. The amount you'll need will depend on how large a display you want to create. My display was about 2 feet tall by 5 feet long, and I used about 1 1/2 bunches of flowers.
- Floral sheers or heavy scissors
- Washi tape
- A blank wall to decorate
Begin by cutting your flower stems to about 6 or 7 inches. You can lay your flowers out on the floor before your start taping. Begin layering alternating colors, and textures, layering some of the flowers high and some low. For each flower I used a fairly generous amount of tape. You need enough that they'll go across your stems and stick to the wall.
Continue layering, I like to make mine the width I want it to be, then I start adding flowers vertically. Once your satisfied with the dimensions you're finished. I just love the statement this DIY makes. Perfect for a party or event, even a wedding (can't you just picture it for a ceremony backdrop), and it only takes a few minutes to create.
I hope you guys will try this super simple DIY Fall Floral Wall for your next event!
