Have you decorated your Easter eggs yet? If you're like me you wait til the last minute, to make sure they're fresh for eating :) When I was growing up I loved all the holidays, and the traditions that surrounded them. Of course with Easter, dyeing the eggs was just as much fun as looking for them on Sunday morning. I haven't dyed eggs in years and years, but decided to try my hand at them again.
I didn't go for any of the fancy kits with all the bells and whistles. Instead I decided to use the traditional PAAS kit. It was so fun experimenting with dipping them in the different colors, and layering them to create beautiful ombre/watercolor effects.
I also broke out my Sharpie collection and decorated a few with cute little flowers. It was my first time trying it, and I was so happy with the results. If you decide to try it out, just make sure your eggs are nice and dry on the outside or you won't be able to draw on them with your Sharpies.
Making beautiful eggs doesn't have to be complicated, and they make a perfect centerpiece for your Easter breakfast or brunch table. I can't wait til next year when Eleanor is old enough to hunt for eggs, and then in future years we can decorate them together! I love creating new traditions with our little family. Happy Easter everyone!
