I met Tara many moons ago via a friend, and ever since I don't think I've ever seen her without a smile on her face. Her warmth, and sweetness is infectious. When she asked me to create flowers for her wedding day of course I said "YES!". Her vision for her and Corey's day was so unique, lots of simple greenery, a beautifully glowing backdrop for the ceremony, and floral crowns for herself and all her maids. I should also mention that Tara is a talented designer. She made her gorgeous wedding dress, and you can see more of her collection at taralight.co or on her Facebook page, and her husband Corey is also a talented photographer who captured all the images of her latest collection. A huge thank you to Tara and Corey for letting me be part of your guys day, we loved every minute of it. What a great way to end our 2012 wedding season!
Tara absolutely LOVES lush greenery, so we incorporated plenty of it into the two types of arrangements for the reception including a wild asymmetrical style, and then tall cylinders with manzanita branches. Simple, modern, and clean.
Tara and her maids didn't carry any bouquets for their day. She wanted floral crowns for all, including a larger than life one for herself. We filled them with seeded eucalyptus, gorgeous garden roses, and ranunculus. So unique and fun for us to create. The men had simple bouts made of ranunculus, pink astible, and greens.
We always do our very best work for every wedding, but you can't help but have favorites right? Tara and Corey's ceremony back drop was hands down my favorite we've ever created. A long custom garland filled with seeded eucalyptus and greens, garden roses, peonies, ranunculus, astible, and roses. The icing on the cake was the glowing white lights in varied sizes. It lit up the entire room and filled it with gorgeous glowing light (plus made for some lovely pictures).
Instead of one large cake, the table was filled with lots of small cakes decorated differently. And to top it all off Tara made them all herself!
